The Continental
Training Program (CTP) — now in its institutional phase
and without any external funding — trains a total of 496
officers in 16 training events (an average of almost 31
people per event and an increase of 16% over the previous
year).
The institutionalization process advances, concentrating
itself during this year in the design and development
of Internet’s — and Management Information Systems’ —
formal technical specifications
The Technical Cooperation Service is designed — and the
information necessary to put it in operation is gathered
— geared towards facilitating the banking supervision
technology transfer among ASBA’s members (through the
use of internships and technical cooperation missions).
ASBA assumes a more significant role in the international
arena and is invited to multiple forums (ECLAC, IMF, BIS,
FSI, etc) of which it is necessary to highlight the “Compilation
Guide for Financial Soundness Indicators” — under the
leadership of the IMF — and the “Regional Financial Forum”
— under the leadership of the IADB —, fulfilling in this
manner the objective of serving as a representative of
its membership and transmitting its concerns.
The Board of Director’s Committees were organized and
implemented, its attention focusing initially in:
